The number in an MR part is a high-rate power designation that tracks its 15-minute watts-per-cell rating, not the battery's amp-hour capacity. Match the full part number first, then confirm voltage, watts per cell, case size and terminal position before approving a substitute.
WPC figures are rated at 15 minutes to 1.67 volts per cell. Amp-hour figures use the 20-hour rate to 1.75 volts per cell. Verify the full discharge table for your required runtime and end voltage.

Is the C&D High Rate MAX MR series discontinued?
C&D lists the MR models in this category as retired. Some MR units remain available through distribution while inventory holds, and we continue to quote them. C&D publishes a Pure Lead Plus successor for each model.
Can a Pure Lead Plus battery replace an MR battery in an existing string?
Start from the model pairing C&D documents, then have the string reviewed before ordering. Send the age of the installed batteries, the quantity and the UPS or cabinet model, and we will confirm whether a single-unit swap or a full-string change suits the installation.

What warranty comes with an MR or its PLP successor?
Each carries its own C&D term, shown in the comparison above: an MR unit carries the MR term and a PLP unit carries the PLP term. For a unit going into an existing string, the applicable term is confirmed in writing with your quote.
