Leoch XP12-350FR Battery - 12V High Rate AGM, 350 W/Cell

The XP12-350FR is the higher-power sibling in Leoch's XP high-rate line: 350 watts per cell over the 15-minute rate to 1.67 volts per cell, 95 Ah at the 20-hour rate, in a UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant case. It shares the 168 by 208 mm cross-section with the XP12-300FR and adds 46 mm of length, so an existing XP tray usually takes it with a spacing check rather than a redesign. When the load grows and the cabinet cannot, this is the unit that keeps the runtime.

Warranty

Warranty. Leoch warrants the XP line for 36 months in UPS service. Design life is a separate figure: 12 years at 77°F. Terms are confirmed in writing with your quote.

More Power in the Same Cross-Section

350 W/cell in a 62-lb case
The most 15-minute power in the XP footprint family, for strings where the bus load crept up past what the 300-class unit carries.
Low-resistance build
Virgin lead plates, copper alloy terminal inserts and oversized intercell welds keep terminal voltage flat while the inverter pulls hard.
Gravity-cast grids
Cast thick and corrosion-resistant, the construction behind Leoch's 12-year design life rating on float duty.
  • UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant case - the FR build that occupied-building specifications require.
  • Factory capacity-tested before shipment - each unit proves its discharge before it is boxed.
  • UL recognized, IEC 60896-21 and -22 compliant, IATA air-freight approved - certified for the site file and flyable when the clock matters.

Where This Battery Is Used

  • Growing UPS installations - server rooms whose DC bus load has outrun the string that was sized five years ago.
  • Hospital and lab power quality systems - loads where the transfer window is non-negotiable.
  • Telecom power plants - high-rate bridging in front of the generator at switch sites.
  • Modular data-center rows - dense strings where every inch of tray earns its keep.

Ordering and Freight

Minimum order is 4 units. At 62.2 lbs apiece these ship freight pre-paid by LTL to a commercial address; a residential or limited-access delivery adds $100, which is the liftgate and access charge the carrier bills us. Send the quantity, your delivery ZIP and your requested-by date, and a specialist returns a written quote with volume pricing in 24 to 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the XP12-350FR the right pick over the XP12-300FR?

When the runtime math says so. Both share the 6.61 by 8.19 inch cross-section; the 350 is 1.8 inches longer, 8.8 lbs heavier and carries 50 more watts per cell over the 15-minute window. If your string is riding close to its low-voltage cutoff at today's load, the 350 restores margin without changing the tray height. Send the DC bus load and we will run the numbers both ways.

Can I mix XP12-350FR and XP12-300FR units in one string?

No. A series string discharges through every unit equally, and mismatched models drag the string to the weaker unit's curve while overworking it. Replace a string with one model, one age, one lot where possible. If you are expanding, quote the whole string rather than topping up.

Is 95 Ah the number I should size runtime on?

Not for UPS work. The 95 Ah is a 20-hour figure, and a UPS discharge is 5 to 30 minutes. Size on the 15-minute watts-per-cell rating at your end voltage. The amp-hour figure matters mostly for comparing physical battery classes and for long, low-rate duties this unit is not usually bought for.

Does it need a ventilated cabinet?

It is a sealed VRLA that recombines gas internally in normal service, so it lives in equipment rooms and enclosed cabinets rather than battery rooms. Enclosures still need the modest airflow every VRLA installation calls for, and your AHJ or facility specification governs. Ask the specialist to include the installation guidance with your quote if the enclosure is tight.
