Leoch XP12-210FR High Rate AGM Battery
Leoch XP12-210FR High Rate AGM Battery
Leoch XP12-210FR Battery - 12V 210 W per Cell High Rate AGM, 55Ah, M6
Warranty
Fifty-Five Amp Hours Built for Fifteen Minutes
- 237.5 amps for 5 minutes - to 1.67 volts per cell, with 127.0 amps at 15 minutes, 73.1 amps at 30 minutes and 39.5 amps for a full hour.
- 55 Ah at the 20-hour rate - to 1.80 volts per cell at 25°C, 2.75 amps for 20 hours, for the rare site that runs it as a long-duration reserve.
- 39.0 lbs, one-person lift - the largest XP block that goes into a tray without two people or a lift table.
- Virgin lead plates, copper alloy inserts - low resistance at the plates and the posts, so the voltage holds under load instead of sagging into the inverter's cutoff.
- IATA approved for air freight - sealed and non-spillable, it can fly when a UPS is down and waiting.

Where This Battery Is Used
- Rack and tower UPS, 5 to 10 kVA - the server room systems and external battery cabinets whose trays were drawn around a 9 by 5.4 inch block with M6 hardware.
- Hospitals and testing laboratories - both are on Leoch's XP application list: equipment that must ride through a transfer without a reset or a lost run.
- Telecommunications and data closets - the DC backup behind switching and edge equipment in occupied buildings, where the V-0 case rating is specified.

Frequently Asked Questions
What warranty applies, and is the 12-year figure part of it?
Leoch warrants the XP line for 36 months in UPS service. The 12 years is design life, Leoch's estimate of float service at 25°C from the XP12-210 datasheet, and it carries no replacement commitment. Both figures appear on this page, always labeled, because a listing that runs them together is how a buyer ends up believing in a 12-year warranty. The term is confirmed in writing with your quote.
What does the 210 in XP12-210FR stand for?
Watts per cell over a 15-minute discharge to 1.67 volts per cell at 25°C. Leoch names every XP part by this rating rather than by amp hours because the range exists for UPS duty, and a UPS is sized on power over minutes. Six cells make about 1,260 watts from one block for 15 minutes. The 55 Ah figure, at the 20-hour rate, is on the sheet as well, and it is the number to use only if the block is asked to run a long, light load.
How do I turn the watts per cell into a runtime for my UPS?
Take the UPS's DC bus load in watts, or the AC load divided by the inverter efficiency, and divide it by the number of blocks in the string times six cells. That gives the watts per cell each block must supply. Read down the constant power table to find where that figure sits: at 15 minutes this block gives 210 watts per cell, at 30 minutes 140.6, at one hour 77.1. If the load per cell is above the 15-minute figure, the runtime is shorter than 15 minutes and the 5- and 10-minute rows apply. A specialist will run the calculation from the UPS model if you would rather not.
Should I move up to the XP12-300FR instead?
Only if the tray takes it. The XP12-300FR is 260 by 168 mm and 211 mm tall at 24.2 kg, a wider and longer block, so it will not fit a tray drawn for the XP12-210FR's 229 by 138 mm footprint. If the tray does fit the larger block, the step from 210 to 300 watts per cell runs the same load about 40 percent longer. If it does not, extra runtime comes from adding strings in parallel rather than a bigger block, and the quote can price either way.
Send the UPS model, the quantity and your delivery ZIP. A specialist confirms the 229 by 138 mm footprint against the tray, checks the M6 hardware, and quotes the set with lead time and freight in writing.
