Where This Battery Is Used
- Small pitch system and hub control packs - strings specified around a 5 Ah, 12 volt block by the pitch drive manufacturer.
- Turbine controller and communications backup - low draw equipment in the nacelle that has to ride through the same event and the same vibration as the pitch pack.
- Like-for-like replacement - where the drawing calls for a 5 Ah F2 block and the pack is in a rotating assembly; on the ground, the standard XTV1255F2 carries 5.5 Ah in the same case group with a published datasheet.

Why are the dimensions and currents missing from this page?
Because CSB has not published a current datasheet for this model. The 2026 price list lists it, with capacity, terminal, case group, warranty and packing, and the XTV-WT series literature covers the chemistry and the temperature window, but the per-part sheets CSB publishes today cover the 7.2, 12 and 20 Ah WT blocks only. Older figures for the 5 Ah block are not repeated here. The quote from CSB carries the figures for the part they will build; keep that sheet with the pack.
Is the standard XTV1255F2 a substitute?
For a stationary installation, often yes: it is a 5.5 Ah, 12 volt block in the same M6 case group on the same F2 tab, rated to the same -20°C to 50°C discharge window, with a current CSB datasheet behind it and the same 3 year term. What it does not carry is the WT build. If the pack is in a rotating hub, specify the WT part and accept the lead time. If it is on the ground, the standard part is the better documented choice.
Is this an AGM battery?
Yes. CSB describes the XTV-WT range as VRLA pure lead AGM construction, and the range charges on the 13.5 to 13.8 volt float window. The phrase "hybrid gel" comes from older XTV literature and is not on any current CSB WT document. Set the charger for AGM.
How long is the lead time?
It is quoted per order, because the part is built when ordered rather than pulled from CSB's stock. The two stock items in the WT range are the 7.2 and 12 Ah blocks. If a pitch pack is down and the drawing allows either the 7.2 Ah WT block or the standard 5.5 Ah block, one of those may be the faster path, and a specialist will say so on the quote rather than leave a turbine waiting on a build slot.
Send the count per hub, the pitch drive model and the date the pack has to be back in service. A specialist confirms the build lead time with CSB, forwards the current figures for the part, and quotes the set in writing.
