Samlex PST-2000-24 - 2000W 24V Pure Sine Wave Inverter, GFCI + Hardwire

A 24 volt pure sine wave inverter is the natural fit for coaches, buses and equipment that already run a 24V electrical system. The Samlex PST-2000-24 delivers 2000 watts of 120VAC from that system while drawing half the current a 12 volt build would demand, through a GFCI-protected duplex outlet, a hardwire terminal block, or both. The commercial-grade chassis is rated for continuous duty, and 3500 watts of surge covers the moment a motor load wakes up.

Warranty

Warranty. Samlex America warrants the PST-2000-24 for 3 years. Full terms are confirmed in writing with your quote.

Built Around the 24V System

120 amps, not 240
Half the DC current of the 12 volt equivalent means lighter cable, smaller fusing and less heat between the bank and the inverter.
Panel and outlet together
Fixed wiring lands on the terminal block while corded gear keeps the GFCI duplex, sharing the 16.7 amp output.
Efficiency past 88%
The 24 volt design wastes less of the bank as heat, which reads directly as longer runtime on the same amp-hours.
  • Sine wave output under 3% distortion, regulated within 3 percent of 120 VAC.
  • Universal Protection Circuit guards against voltage extremes, overload, short circuit, over-temperature, outlet ground faults and reversed polarity.
  • 2-wire and 1-wire remote on/off inputs; RC-300 LCD remote sold separately.
  • ETL listed to UL 458 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1; FCC Part 15(B) Class B; RoHS compliant.

Where This Inverter Is Used

  • Buses and coaches - galley and cabin AC from the 24V chassis system.
  • Heavy service vehicles - tools and chargers wired in for the workday.
  • Workboats and 24V marine banks - hardwired AC alongside shore power.
  • 24V solar and telecom sites - a 2000 watt AC stage without a voltage converter.

Ordering

Complete the pair. The DC-2000-KIT 200A installation kit and RC-300 remote ride the same order. Bigger loads point to the PST-3000-24; a 12 volt bank points to the PST-2000-12. Fleet counts and ZIPs get a written quote back in 24 to 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the PST-2000-24 and the PST-2000-12?

The battery side. Fed from 24 volts, the same 2000 watts draws no more than 120 amps where the 12 volt model needs 240, peak efficiency climbs above 88%, and the internal fusing drops to six 20 amp blades. Chassis, outlets, hardwire block and warranty are identical.

What loads will 2000 watts carry on a bus or coach?

A 1200 watt microwave with the lights and chargers still running, a full workstation, or one corded tool at a time. Motor starts lean on the 3500 watt surge rating, and the total steady draw stays under 16.7 amps at 120 VAC.

How big should the 24 volt cabling be?

Sized for a 120 amp maximum draw over your run length, per the tables in the Samlex manual, with a fuse at the battery end. Samlex's DC-2000-KIT 200A installation kit packages the cable, lugs and fuse for exactly this class of inverter.

Does it follow the ignition?

It can. The remote input on the hardwiring terminal block accepts ignition or dash-switch control, and the optional RC-300 LCD remote adds full monitoring from 25 feet away.

2000 watts, wired for the 24V world.
