The Samlex PST-1500-48 is a 48V pure sine wave inverter that answers with 1500 watts of 120VAC, a 3000 watt surge window, and an input range that stretches from 42 to 64 volts, wide enough to ride a lithium rack at absorption without complaint. Output lands on a GFCI duplex or the hardwire terminal block, and the whole thing draws no more than 50 amps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it run from my 48V solar or telecom bank?

That is the design brief. The 42 to 64 VDC input window is the widest ceiling in the PST line, high enough to sit on a lithium rack at full charge or a lead string in equalize without tripping the high-voltage shutdown.

What are the output connection options?

A GFCI-protected duplex receptacle for corded loads and a set-screw terminal block for fixed wiring to a sub-panel or a Samlex STS-30 transfer switch, sharing 12.5 amps of output between them.

What does it draw at 48 volts?

A maximum of 50 amps, protected by five internal 10 amp fuses, with under half an amp at idle. Samlex pairs it with the DC-1000-KIT 100A installation kit, which covers the cable and battery-end fuse with room to spare.

How does it differ from the PSR rack mount 48V inverters?

Role. The PSR-1200-48 is a 1U rack unit with a built-in transfer relay and network monitoring for comms sites; this PST-1500-48 is a chassis-mount inverter with more wattage, hardwire capability and GFCI outlets for vehicles, solar builds and general 48V plants.
