Samlex NTX-600-12 - 600W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter, 12V

Your truck, camper, or boat hands you 12 volts DC. Everything you actually want to plug in expects the 115V AC that comes out of a wall. The Samlex NTX-600-12 is a 600 watt pure sine wave inverter that closes that gap: clean, utility-grade AC from any 12V battery, in a 2.4 pound unit small enough to live in a tool box or a galley drawer.

Warranty

Built for Real Loads

True pure sine output
115V AC with the same smooth waveform as the grid, so chargers, screens, and small motors run at full efficiency without buzz or added heat.
Soft-start surge handling
1200 watts of starting headroom with a soft-start ramp, so loads with a brief inrush spin up instead of tripping the unit.
Cool Surface technology
The case stays touch-safe under load, and a single fan varies its speed with load and temperature instead of running flat out.
  • Two NEMA 5-15R outlets plus a 5V 2.1A USB port - run two AC loads and charge a phone at the same time.
  • 91% peak efficiency - more of the battery's energy reaches the load instead of becoming heat.
  • ETL listed to UL 458 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1; FCC certified for electrical interference.

Where This Inverter Is Used

  • Service trucks and mobile offices - laptop, printer, and test-equipment power at the jobsite.
  • RVs, camper vans, and camping - TV, CPAP, and device charging off the house battery.
  • Boats - clean AC for electronics at anchor, no generator running.
  • Emergency backup - keeps phones, a router, and a TV alive off a car or spare battery during an outage.
Only charging laptops and phones? See the Samlex NTX-400-12 → The 400 watt version of this inverter: same pure sine output, USB port, and included clamps, in a lighter package for smaller loads.

Ordering

Not sure 600 watts is enough? Add up the running watts of everything you plan to plug in at once. A microwave, coffee maker, or corded power tools call for the NTX-1000 or larger, and we can help you do that math before you order. For fleet and volume orders, send the quantity and your delivery ZIP and a battery specialist will return a written quote in 24 to 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can a 600 watt inverter run?

Any combination of loads whose running watts total under 600. A laptop (60 W), a 32-inch TV (50 W), a CPAP without its heated humidifier (about 40 W), and phone charging all fit at the same time. The 1200 W surge rating covers the brief starting draw of small pumps and compressor coolers.

Why does pure sine wave matter in a small inverter?

Modified sine inverters approximate AC with square voltage steps. On that power, chargers buzz, motors run hot, and some medical devices refuse to start. The NTX-600-12 produces a true sine wave, so anything rated for a wall outlet behaves exactly as it does at home.

Will the NTX-600-12 drain my battery when nothing is plugged in?

Slowly, yes. It draws under 0.9 A at no load, roughly 20 Ah over a full day, so switch it off when you are done. If the battery runs low anyway, an alarm sounds at 11.0 V and the inverter shuts down at 10.5 V to protect the battery from deep discharge.

What is in the box, and how does it connect?

The inverter, a DC input cable fitted with the rectangular lug its thumb-screw M4 terminals require, and a set of battery clamps. Clamp on for portable use, or ask us about cable gauge and fusing before you hardwire it for a fixed installation.

Ready to put clean AC in your truck, camper, or boat?
