CSB XHRL 12410WFR 410W AGM VRLA Deep Cycle Battery for UPS High-Rate
CSB XHRL 12410WFR 410W AGM VRLA Deep Cycle Battery for UPS High-Rate
CSB XHRL12410WFR Battery - 12V 417W Per Cell Extreme High Rate AGM
Warranty
More Power in the Same Shelf Height
- 103 Ah at the 20 hour rate - to 1.75 volts per cell at 25°C per the CSB price list; the per-part datasheet rates this series in watts per cell rather than amp hours.
- 3,171 amps short circuit current - 24 percent above the XHRL12360WFR, so a protective device sized on the smaller block is worth re-checking.
- 41.00 amps maximum charge current - the recharge ceiling per block after a deep event.
- Group 27 case at 12.15 inches long - a footprint this catalog already carries in other CSB lines, which usually means the shelf question is already answered.
- Float window of 13.5 to 13.8 VDC per battery - with equalization at 14.4 to 15.0, both referenced to 25°C (77°F); the settings are per block, so a rectifier configured for a shorter XHRL string carries over unchanged.

Where This Battery Is Used
- Large UPS cabinets on a group 27 shelf - strings carrying a rack row through a transfer, sized on the 15 minute column.
- Data center and colocation plant - float duty where the bank is measured in years between events and the design life justifies the size.
- Upgrades within an existing 12.15 inch footprint - sites already running a CSB block of that length where the requirement has moved to a higher rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a deep cycle battery?
It is not, whatever an older listing title may suggest. The XHRL range is a high-rate float standby line: the block holds full charge for long periods and is then asked for a large amount of power over a short window. Daily discharge and recharge is a different duty and it wears these plates faster than the design life assumes. Tell a specialist how the bank will be used day to day and you will get pointed at the right line, which is sometimes not this one.
How does it compare with the XHRL12360WFR?
Same height at 8.41 inches, so the tier does not change. Length goes from 10.28 to 12.15 inches and weight from 62.37 to 71.85 lbs. In exchange you get 417.33 watts per cell at 15 minutes against 372.78, internal resistance of 2.90 milliohms against 3.10, and a 24 percent higher short circuit figure. If the shelf has the extra 1.87 inches, this is the stronger specification.
Can I mix XHRL blocks with the HRL string I already run?
No, and we will say so before taking the order. The two lines have different internal resistance and different discharge curves, so a mixed string is governed by its weakest section and charges unevenly. If you are part way through replacing an HRL bank, either finish it in HRL or change the whole string to XHRL. A part replacement that saves money this year usually costs a full string the next.
What lead time should I plan for?
The XHRL line is marked non-stock in CSB's price list, so these are built and shipped against an order rather than pulled from inventory. That makes lead time a real planning input on a project with a commissioning date. Send the date you need the bank on site along with the quantity, and a specialist confirms an achievable delivery in writing rather than a hopeful one.
Send the tray dimensions, the transfer window you have to cover and the part number in the cabinet today. A specialist confirms the fit and quotes the string with lead time in writing.
