Is this a 190 Ah battery or a 200 Ah battery?
Both, at different rates. This part has been listed under both numbers, so the distinction matters. Leoch's nameplate is 190.0 Ah at the 10-hour rate to 1.80 VPC. Size the reserve against that. At the 20-hour rate the same battery delivers 202.0 Ah, which rounds to the 200 Ah this page and its web address have carried. At the 8-hour rate to 1.75 VPC it gives 185.6 Ah. Nothing here contradicts anything else; they are four measurements of one battery. Match whichever basis your plant documentation uses.
I was quoted an LPF12-200. Is that this battery?
Yes. LPF12-200 is the superseded designation for the part Leoch now publishes as LPF12-190. Same case, same footprint, same 202 Ah at the 20-hour rate. If your records, your rack label or an old quote says LPF12-200, this is the battery you are looking for. Send us the old part number on the quote request and we will confirm it against the current datasheet in writing.
What is the internal resistance and why does it matter?
Approximately 4.0 milliohms at 25°C fully charged. On its own the number means little; as a commissioning baseline it means a lot. Record every block's reading at install, then trend the percentage change. A single block drifting 25% above its own baseline is the earliest warning you will get, and it will show up long before a capacity test would catch it.
Can I use this in a cycling application?
Leoch's warranty covers LPF batteries manufactured specifically for standby, and states plainly that it does not apply to batteries used in other applications. The battery has a published cycle charging voltage of 14.1V to 14.4V, so it will cycle, but doing so puts you outside the warranted use. If your load cycles daily, tell us and we will point you at the right series instead.
