The Deka Unigy lines we stock
Unigy I AVR series - stationary VRLA for telecom plants and switchgear, in top-terminal and front-access builds. East Penn rates the design life at 10 years on float at 77°F.
High Rate series - UPS batteries rated in watts per cell for the 5-to-30-minute discharge window, built on East Penn's IPF plate technology.
Top or front terminals - the AVR line pairs top-access and front-access models at the same nominal ratings, so the rack decides the part number, not the other way around.
Send the part number, quantity, delivery ZIP and requested-by date. A specialist confirms availability and the manufacturer's warranty term, prices volume, and documents freight in writing in 24 to 48 hours. Batteries ship freight pre-paid by LTL to commercial addresses; a residential or limited-access delivery adds $100, which is the liftgate and access charge the carrier bills us. Warranty terms are stated on each product page and confirmed in writing with your quote.
Deka Unigy questions, answered
What is the difference between the 12AVR100 and the 12AVR100ET?
Terminal position. The 12AVR100 is top access and the 12AVR100ET is front access, at the same nominal family rating. If your rack was built for front service, the top-terminal unit will not service the way the installer intended, so check the label before ordering or send us a photo.
What does IPF technology mean on a Deka spec sheet?
Individual Plate Formation. East Penn forms each plate separately before assembly, which keeps cell-to-cell consistency tight. In a series string that matters, because the string discharges through every cell equally and drifts to its weakest member.
Are Deka Unigy batteries really made in the USA?
Yes. East Penn builds them in Lyon Station, Pennsylvania, on one site that runs from raw material to finished battery. That is also why documentation and replacement stock stay consistent from year to year.
