Send us the part number, quantity and requested date.

A battery specialist confirms fit and availability, then returns a written quote in 24 to 48 hours, with freight and assumptions documented before you order. EnerSys builds the PowerSafe and DataSafe stationary lines and owns the NorthStar brand, so three catalogs telecom buyers know converge on this page.

The EnerSys lines we stock

  • PowerSafe SBS - thin plate pure lead for telecom plants, in front-terminal and monobloc formats; the SBS XCT+, SBSXL and V-FT variants extend the same platform.
  • DataSafe HX - the high-rate VRLA UPS range, sized in watts per cell; the DataSafe HX range summary (PDF) carries one row per model.
  • DataSafe XE - the pure lead UPS line, for refreshes where service life and temperature margin drive the pick.
  • NorthStar NSB - EnerSys acquired NorthStar in 2019 and warrants the NSB range; remaining stock and per-model successors are collected on the NorthStar hub.

How commercial orders work

Send the part number, quantity, delivery ZIP and requested-by date. A specialist confirms which series and format fit the duty, verifies stock across the EnerSys and NorthStar ranges, and documents pricing and freight in writing in 24 to 48 hours. Batteries ship freight pre-paid by LTL to commercial addresses; a residential or limited-access delivery adds $100, which is the liftgate and access charge the carrier bills us. Warranty terms are stated on each product page and confirmed in writing with your quote.

EnerSys questions, answered

What does thin plate pure lead change in day-to-day service?

Three things buyers can measure: recharge time after an outage, high-rate delivery per pound of battery, and how long a unit can sit in storage before commissioning. On a conditioned float string that gets replaced on schedule, those advantages go mostly unused, and standard VRLA remains the sensible buy. The quote states which construction you are being priced.

HX or XE for a UPS refresh?

Both are sized in watts per cell, so start from your transfer window and rack layout. The HX is the high-rate VRLA range, documented model by model in the range summary above. The XE is pure lead, and it is the pick when the room runs warm or the site wants a longer service life between change-outs. A specialist confirms the model against the window before the quote goes out.

Does EnerSys still make NorthStar batteries?

EnerSys bought NorthStar in 2019 and stands behind the NSB units we sell. Part of the range is retired, and each retired model's product page names its in-production successor, most often from the PowerSafe SBS platform. The NorthStar hub linked above collects the remaining stock and the crossing paths in one place.
