What is a TPPL Battery? Enersys TPPL technology has been developed in response to the changing needs of today's data centers. The EnerSys Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) batteries are designed with 99.99% pure virgin lead flat plates which greatly reduces the internal resistance of the battery. The thinner lead plates of the TPPL battery delivers a higher capacity, longer lifespan, and better efficiency than traditional AGM batteries. When installed in a climate controlled environment, AGM telecom batteries like all VRLA varieties can provide reliable backup power for years to come and help prevent avoidable downtime due to power outages or other disruptions.

The PowerSafe Enersys SBS XC+ is a battery that combines advanced carbon chemistry with EnerSys’ proven TPPL technology. The Enersys SBS Powersafe XC+ series is an innovative solution that is specifically engineered to cope with the operating challenges of hybrid telecom sites such as high cyclic use, high ambient temperatures, and partial state of charge environments. The EnerSys PowerSafe SBS XC+ delivers outstanding energy throughput and cyclic performance for longer battery life. It is also able to operate in a controlled partial state of charge (PSOC) which reduces genset runtime for additional OPEX savings.
