Where This Charger Is Used
- Sport bikes and cruisers with factory lithium batteries - the growing share of new motorcycles that ship with LiFePO4
- ATVs, UTVs, and side-by-sides converted to lithium - lighter packs that still need the right float
- Dirt bikes, scooters, and mopeds - either chemistry, 3 Ah and up
- Personal watercraft and snowmobiles - off-season storage without a dead battery at launch
- The one machine still on lead-acid - flip the selector; no second charger to buy

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Deltran warranty cover on the 022-0199-DL-WH?
Deltran's 5-year limited warranty covers the charger itself. It does not reach a battery that was charged on the wrong setting, so match the selector to the battery label before you connect. Keep the receipt and contact us if you ever need to file.
Is the Junior Multi-Chemistry the same charger as the Junior 800?
Yes. Deltran raised the rating from 800 milliamps to 1 amp, moved it into the current housing, and renamed it, but the part number and the lead-acid or lithium selector are unchanged. If you have been searching for the Junior 800 or the Lithium Junior, this is the current version.
What happens if I choose the wrong chemistry?
Lead-acid float on a LiFePO4 battery holds it, over weeks, above the voltage its BMS is built for and can damage the cells. The lithium profile on a lead-acid battery leaves it undercharged. Neither mistake shows up right away, which is why the selector deserves a second look every time you connect.
How do I know which setting my battery needs?
Read the battery label. AGM, gel, and flooded batteries are all lead-acid and use the lead-acid setting. Anything marked LiFePO4 or lithium iron phosphate takes the lithium setting. If the label says lithium but not iron phosphate, send us a photo before you charge it.
How long does a 1 amp charger take on a motorcycle battery?
A 12 Ah battery at half charge needs about 6 Ah back, which is roughly 6 hours of bulk charging at 1 amp plus an hour or two of absorption. Overnight covers nearly any battery in the 3 to 30 Ah range; a fully flat 30 Ah battery is closer to a day and a half.
Order online, or send the battery labels from each machine and a battery specialist confirms the Junior Multi-Chemistry covers them, in writing, in 24 to 48 hours.
