CSB HRL12330W 12V 356W/Cell 15-Min High Rate Long Life UPS Battery
CSB HRL12330W 12V 356W/Cell 15-Min High Rate Long Life UPS Battery
CSB HRL12330W Battery - 12V 88 Ah High Rate Long Life AGM
Warranty
What the Long Life Build Buys
- Float 13.5 to 13.8 VDC per battery - the published band at 25°C (77°F); equalization runs 14.4 to 15.0 VDC per battery at the same temperature.
- Pure lead construction - CSB builds the HRL long life range on pure lead plates with proprietary elements, which is the difference between this series and the standard high rate line.
- I2 threaded insert for an M6 bolt - torque to 44.9 plus or minus 9.0 lbf-in (5.10 plus or minus 1.0 N-m), so existing cable lugs carry across within the series.
- UL1973 Listed and UL1989 Recognized - file numbers MH66728 and MH14533, built to IEC 60896-21/22:2004, with TUV NORD certification to ISO 9001:2015.
- Six months on the shelf - self discharge stays under 10 percent after 90 days at 25°C, and CSB allows storage to six months before a full recharge falls due.

Where This Battery Is Used
- Mid-size UPS strings - the 120 to 480 volt cabinets that carry a server room or a process line through a transfer to generator.
- Data center and co-location plant - float duty where the string sits charged for years and the design life matters more than the discharge headline.
- Switchgear and industrial control rooms - standby power held on float, replaced on a scheduled interval rather than on failure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the HRL12330W a 330 watt battery?
No. CSB publishes 356 watts per cell at the 15 minute rate to 1.67 volts per cell at 25°C, and 627 watts per cell at 5 minutes. The 330 is a series designation. Six cells sit in the block, so the 15 minute figure works out near 2,136 watts for the whole battery, and a UPS sizing sheet that treats the model number as a rating will come out low. Size against the published watts per cell and the rate beside it.
What does CSB warrant on this battery?
Four years on the HRL mid to large range. That is the manufacturer term, and it is separate from the 10 year design life CSB publishes for standby service at 25°C. The two get confused because both are year counts on the same datasheet. Design life is how long the block is engineered to hold up on float; the warranty is what pays if it does not. Terms are confirmed in writing with your quote.
How does the HRL12330W compare to the HRL12390W?
The 390 carries 414 watts per cell at 15 minutes against 356, and 100 Ah at the 20 hour rate against 88, for 7.5 more pounds and 1.35 inches more length. Height and width are within a tenth of an inch of each other, so a shelf cut for one usually takes the other, and the length is what decides it. Both sit in the same warranty band and share the 10 year design life.
Can the HRL12330W replace a flooded block on float?
In most standby cabinets, yes, and it removes the watering schedule and the ventilation the flooded bank needed. Check three things first: the charger's float window against 13.5 to 13.8 VDC per battery, the shelf rating against 65.24 lbs per block, and the ambient against the 25°C nominal. Send those three and a specialist confirms the swap in writing before anything ships.
