Where This Charger Is Used
- Daily drivers that sit - a second car, a commuter left at the airport, a truck that only moves on weekends
- Motorcycles, ATVs and personal watercraft - maintained through storage, then jumped in the spring if the battery gave up anyway
- Boats and tow vehicles - one unit covers the cranking battery at the dock and the truck at the ramp
- Diesel pickups and SUVs - up to 4.0L diesel and 6.0L gas, which covers most half-ton and light-duty engines

Frequently Asked Questions
Who covers the Charge N Start 4120 warranty?
Deltran, the manufacturer, warrants the 4120 for one year. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase, and if a claim comes up, contact us and we will help you through it.
What size engine can the 4120 jump start?
Gasoline engines up to 6.0 liters and diesels up to 4.0 liters. Hold the crank for no more than five seconds per attempt and wait 30 seconds between tries so the pack can recover. On a motorcycle or ATV, three to five seconds is plenty.
Does the 4120 charge lithium motorcycle batteries?
Yes. Set the selector to lithium and the charger uses a LiFePO4 profile instead of the lead-acid one; move it back to standard for a flooded, AGM or gel battery. Charging lithium on a lead-acid setting is the usual way a LiFePO4 pack gets damaged, so check the selector before you clip on.
Can I leave the Charge N Start plugged in all winter?
That is what it is built for. Once the vehicle battery reaches float, the charger holds it there and periodically switches over to top up its own jump pack. Come spring, both are full.
How many jump starts does the internal pack hold?
Deltran rates a fully charged pack at up to 20 starts. The real number depends on engine size and temperature, so plug it back in after a jump rather than counting starts.
