Replacing a C&D Dynasty MR battery
Read an MR part number as a power rating: the figure tracks watts per cell at the 15-minute rate, so a UPS12-400MR is a 400-watt-per-cell battery, not a 400 Ah one. C&D documents a Pure Lead Plus successor for the MR family. For example, UPS12-400MR maps to UPS12-405PLP, while UPS6-620MR maps to UPS6-625PLP. Is a Dynasty MR model still available?
The MR family is retired, but distribution inventory may remain for individual models. We check the requested number and quote the original if available or its documented successor.
Can I use a PLP battery in an existing MR string?
That depends on the exact models and the condition of the string. Send the installed model, string age and quantity so we can review C&D's guidance before recommending a substitution.
Which warranty applies to a replacement?
The warranty follows the exact replacement unit supplied. A C&D replacement carries its applicable C&D manufacturer term, confirmed in writing with your quote; it does not inherit a retired model's warranty.
