Will it charge my golf cart?
One battery at a time, within limits. It handles a single 6V or 12V battery between 14Ah and 100Ah, so it suits a cart's 12V accessory battery or off-season maintenance of one battery at a time. Most 6V golf cart batteries are rated above 200Ah, and a 36V or 48V pack needs the cart's own pack charger.
How does 4 amps compare with a Battery Tender Plus?
The Plus puts out 1.25 amps and is built to hold a charged battery. This unit puts out 4 amps, more than three times as much, so it can recover a dead battery in a working day and then maintain it the same way the Plus does.
Do I have to change any settings for a lithium battery?
Yes, move the chemistry selector to lithium before connecting. The lithium profile uses different stage voltages than the lead-acid one, and a LiFePO4 pack on the wrong setting can trip its BMS or sit undercharged. Set the voltage switch to match the pack as well.
What are the lights on the charger telling me?
