Will the Junior work on my car battery?
It will maintain one. A 750 mA charger holds a healthy car battery at float indefinitely, but recharging a flat 60 Ah battery with it takes days. Use the Junior on a car only if the battery is already charged and the car simply sits.
Is the 021-0123 the Battery Tender Junior 800?
No. The 021-0123 is the standard 750 mA Junior for lead-acid batteries only. The Junior 800, now sold as the Junior Multi-Chemistry 022-0199-DL-WH at 1 amp, adds a lithium setting. Choose that one for a LiFePO4 battery.
How do I connect it without pulling the battery?
Bolt the ring terminals of the included harness to the battery posts, route the quick-disconnect plug somewhere you can reach under the seat or a side cover, and plug the charger in when you park. The alligator clips are for batteries you can get at directly.
What do the lights on the Battery Tender Junior mean?
Steady red means it is charging. Flashing green means the battery is above 80 percent and finishing. Steady green means full and floating. Flashing red means it is not charging, usually a loose connection or a battery too low to accept a charge.
