Does a warm cabinet change what I should expect?
Yes. The 10-year design life is quoted at 77°F, and VRLA service life shortens as sustained ambient rises above that. Send the cabinet temperature with your quote request and a specialist will tell you what to expect at your site rather than at the lab.
Why is the design life 10 years but the warranty 4?
Design life is East Penn's engineering estimate under ideal float conditions. The warranty is the period they will replace a failed unit. Both figures are real and they are not the same thing. Terms are confirmed in writing with your quote.
Can I mix a 12AVR100ET into an existing string?
On a young string with a documented single-unit failure, yes. On a string more than a couple of years into service, replace the set. A fresh 96Ah cell in an aged bank gets held to the weakest unit's capacity, so you pay for new and get old.
What is the difference between the 12AVR100 and the 12AVR100ET?
The ET is the front-access version of the top-terminal 12AVR100, and the two carry different warranty terms. If your submittal or your existing rack calls for one specifically, check the label before ordering, or send us a photo.
Why is there a four-unit minimum order?
