Razor E300 Battery Upgrade
Today I will address the issue of finding a Razor E300 battery upgrade. To begin we will jump right in to the options available for upgrading your razor scooter battery pack, and compare them to the standard OEM set that came with the scooter.
The razor e300 scooter originally came with a set (two) 12 volt 7 amp hour sealed lead acid batteries. Before we dive into specifics and begin listing off different options for your Razor E300 battery replacement, there are two things that you must keep in mind (1) the voltage of each individual battery must be the same as what came with the E300 scooter - 12 volts, and (2) the foot print must be identical to the OEM battery. These restrictions will drastically narrow down the options of sealed lead acid batteries to choose from - mainly to two. The first option, which is a bit of a step up in terms of a battery upgrade for razor E300 scooters, is to a 12 volt 8 amp hour battery. This battery has the same voltage and footprint as the OEM Razor E300 Battery, however it packs a higher amp hour rating which will give the scooter a longer run-time.
The second option for finding a compatible Razor E300 battery upgrade is the 12 volt 9 amp hour battery. Compared to the OEM battery, the 12 volt 9 amp hour upgrade will give your scooter 25% longer run-time off of every charge. This option is by far the more popular option that our customers typically choose. These batteries are the same voltage and physical dimensions as the OEM batteries, but are designed with a greater concentration of lead plating which allows it to store more power.
