Every sealed lead acid battery manufactured today will discharge at a natural rate, meaning that a battery sitting for an extended period of time without being used can and will discharge itself. This process is natural, and will not hinder the performance of your Q Chariot Segway Battery. However, when the battery is left in a discharged state for an extended period of time (one to two months) sulfation will begin to build up on the inner plates of the battery greatly reducing its capacity and run time in the scooter.
